Fall Equinox ~ Welcoming New Beginnings !

owl-moon.png

The word equinox comes from Latin and means,

Equality of Night and Day.

At this point in time, the sun is directly above the hemisphere, meaning that both halves of the Earth are receiving the sun's rays equally, and the length of day and night are pretty much the same. There are two equinoxes each year — one in the spring and one in the fall.

The equinox is a highly significant moment in time to many different cultures and practices, including pagans, Wiccans, and astrologers, because it's very telling of the relationships between the Earth and the Sun at this time of the year.

During the equinox, the veil between the spiritual and physical world gets thinner, allowing us to receive messages, information and to communicate more effectively our heart's desires.

Traditionally, the equinox was celebrated as a time to cleanse out stagnant energy within the self and homes / spaces.

This day ushers in a period of rebirth.

You'll feel pulled toward tackling new and exciting projects.
